1,7km langer Naturfunpark mit 30 Obstacles

Der einzigartige Event geht in die zweite Runde: 8 Tage lang wird im 1,7km langen natürlichen Funpark gejammt. Wir bauen für euch 30 verschiedene Obstacles (Cliffs, Corners, Kickers, Bonks, Bowls), die auf den natürlichen Geländeformen der Warmtobel-Piste basieren.

Freestyle back to the roots: Tricksen mit Freunden bis die Oberschenkel brennen. Keine Anmeldung, kein Startgeld. Shredden just for fun. Du fährst durch das Warmtobel und fühlst dich wie in einem Game. Absprünge, Drops, Walls, Bowls soweit das Auge reicht. Ohne Druck kannst du da machen, was du schon als Kind geliebt hast: Kreatives Freestylen mit deinen besten Freunden.

Der Event schlug 2009 ein wie eine Bombe. Über 500 Freestyler aus der ganzen Schweiz nützten das einzigartige Terrain, das von 12 Shapern und 2 Pistenfahrzeugen in 3 Tagen aufgebaut wird. Neu ist es 8 Tage lang geöffnet!

Seit mittlerweile 10 Jahren fand auf dem Stoos die Flugschau statt und jedes Jahr wurde der Event grösser und bekannter. Nach hervorragender Vorarbeit geht der legendäre Contest unter neuem Namen in die nächste Runde.

Back2Style heisst das Zauberwort, was nicht heissen soll dass es vorher nicht Stylish zu und her ging.

Mit einem speziellen Contest-Format wollen die beiden Organisatoren, Dominik “Knicke” Betschart und Kilian Wiget, weg vom ganzen Spin to Win Zirkus und die Fahrer dazu auffordern zu Bonen und Tweaken was das Zeugs hält. Die Tricks werden zum Teil vorgegeben und mit der richtigen Prise Style könnt Ihr die Judges für euch gewinnen und fette Preise abräumen. Unter anderem CHF 1000.- für den besten der Herren Kategorie und jede Menge Ruhm und Ehre.
Präsentiert wird euch das ganze vom Doodah Snowboard und Skate Shop. Und natürlich gibt es auch während des Contests Musik, Essen, Trinken und eine geballte Ladung Action.

Also der 6. März dick in der Agenda anstreichen und auf den Stoos pilgern.

Die anschliessende Party darf natürlich auch nicht fehlen, dann wird nämlich das El Diabolo in Brunnen gerockt. An den Plattenteller stehen unter anderem Prince Boogie und Clastsound. Und jeder der schon mal an der Flugschau Party war, weiss das niemand durstig nach Hause muss.

On February 27th and 28th, 2010, CentralCamps and Télé-Thyon present the 5th edition of their main event at CentralPark in the Thyon Region, The GANGS OF THYON.
The Thyon Region has always been proud to support freestyle on the mountain.
True to themselves, CentralCamps with the help of Télé-Thyon has found a formula that brings smiles to the faces of riders. Entirely organized with their own time and care, this event will gather over sixty fully invited participants who will fight for the title « Gang of Thyon 10 » in snowboard and in freeski!
This year, during the competition taking place on Sunday someone will be awarded a Wild Card to the semi-finals of the legendary NESCAFÉ Champs Leysin 2010, event TTR 4*.

Thyon CentralPark
The crew of shapers in CentralPark, Joachim Arnould, Evans Contayon and Xavier Marty, have created
an extraordinary park. For the event Gangs of Thyon the features will be enhanced! Aside from the various lines of jib available, the Pro line will allow us to put together 4 huge features, unlike those in any other Swiss snow park. As always the hangout place is there with food, drinks and entertainment where the audience will be sure not to miss out on anything.

The Concept of Gangs of Thyon
The Gangs of Thyon is one of the first events to offer participants the chance to ride as a team (crew). Individual performances are not taken into account; only the quality of the show provided by the entire team is noted. The riders must not only be on form in the technical aspects of the run but also be sure to utilize the park as best as possible. Each teams riders will start the run together, crew after crew.
The other feature particular to this event is that from the first edition, the rider will pay no inscription fee or anything for the ski pass for the 2 days. All riders will also receive free accommodation and are invited to a meal on Saturday evening. CentralCamps takes care of everything!

Saturday, It’s the Crew Battle!
The competition starts by team, riders will be required to work together to create the best performance. It is again important to remember that the points will be given for overall group performance, and not for individual achievements. Judging will be based on the show of the entire group throughout the run, not on each trick performed during the run. Snowboarders and freeskiers battle each other in two distinct categories. Crews will try to exploit all the features of CentralPark in an effort to steal the title Gang of Thyon from the 2009 title holders “Bataleon” for the snowboarders and “Head” in the freeski category. The Crews will have 2 runs to prove their skills and talents to qualify to make it to the grand finale; eliminations will be done in a knock out system. The GOT trophy is especially coveted and each year the names of the victors will be engraved on the trophy. The crew whose name is on the trophy will be the new Gang of Thyon and will hold the title throughout the next year until the next edition.

Sunday, It’s the Slopestyle!
We take the same riders and we start again, only this time each rider will be judged individually. Prize Money of 3’000.- will be split on the different features in CentralPark. Short sessions will take place on each of the various features; the rider with the best trick will receive the prize money dedicated to that obstacle.

Nixon will offer a special prize worth 700.- to the rider with the best trick of the day.
The icing on the cake of this event is that the best snowboarder of the competition will leave with a Wild Card. This will open the door for the rider to the semi-finals of the renowned NESCAFÉ Champs Leysin 2010, event TTR 4* as a “full invited rider”.

Saturday night, Time for the Underground!
Saturday night, we welcome to the Underground, Sound system Back inna Days as well as DJ Lee. You can rely on them to make this evening one to remember.

Am Samstag, 20. Februar 2010, steht die Head Slopestyle Challange auf dem Programm. Der Contest ist offen für Freeskier und Snowboarder. Wer den Sieg nach Hause fahren will, muss tief in die Trickkiste greifen und auf dem gesamten Snowland-Terrain seine fahrerische Duftnote hinterlassen. Nur mit der richtigen Mischung aus individuellem Style, ausgefeilter Technik und abgefahrener Show kannst du die Herzen der Headjudges erweichen.
